About

Run by creators who've been on both sides of the deal.

We've pitched brands, been pitched by agencies and written the briefs ourselves. We know what a brand needs from a partnership, and what a creator needs before saying yes.

Founded by Nick Uhlenhuth and Rachel Ward · Austin & Los Angeles

Outward Talent was started by two people who've seen creator marketing from both sides. Rachel Ward has worked in social media marketing for almost a decade, and Nick Uhlenhuth spent years as a product manager at Microsoft. They met through reality TV and have been making content, and brand deals, ever since.

Between them, they've written briefs and received them, and been pitched well and badly. After working with a lot of management companies and agencies, they noticed the deals that worked had one thing in common: someone had done the research and could explain why this creator, for this brand, right now.

Outward Talent is built on that. We research before we pitch, keep proposals to one page, and stay your single point of contact from the first email to the final report.

Our team

Meet the founders.

Nick and Rachel still create and partner with brands themselves, so every campaign is run by people who've done the work from both sides of the deal.

House rules

Things we won't do.

  • Pitch you a creator whose audience has no reason to buy from you.
  • Send a deck when a page will do.
  • Quote a fee without spelling out what it covers.
  • Go quiet between the signed contract and the live post.
